Till 2 hours ago I was still thinking " hm, what is an original and attractive subject to blog?". I'd already read some blogs from my friends, most of them came down to one thing: Twitter. But after what happened this morning, I can't deny it no longer, Twitter is one of the social media that actually does have a goal!
This morning around 8 o'clock there was a bomb alarm at Den bosch. According to www.nu.nl there would be a Muslim man in the train from Roosendaal to Zwolle with an obscuur package wich was possibly a bomb. The whole station got evacuated and almost all of the public transport nearby Den Bosch shut down.
When I logged on to my Twitter account, there were already Tweets about what was going on in Den Bosch, even before the first official newsmedia came with the news. Brabant News reacts on the rapidity off the news spread from Twitter. On http://www.omroepbrabant.nl/?news/1316661003/Bommelding+Den+Bosch+-+LIVE!.aspx you can find the latest news about de bomb alarm and check Tweets with updated messages and photos from the stranded passengers.
So, as proved, you can presume that Twitter has also other goals than just telling people useless things about what you are doing.
If this isn't a up to date topic ... ;)
